The passage of the Renewable Energy Act, which was authored by Senator Edgardo J. Angara, creates an innovative leverage for the Philippines to establish and enhance a domestic clean energy industry affecting other critical areas of development in science and technology. Complemented by the fact that the country’s Clean Energy Initiative is a Global Initiative, the Philippines is now poised to harness other countries’ technological and business experience, and match them with the country’s great renewable energy potential.
