Commission Members . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Members [view list] The Congressional Commission on Science & Technology and Engineering (COMSTE) is comprised of legislators from both houses of Congress. The ten (10) seat membership is split into half wherein five members are from the Senate and the other half are from the House of Representatives. Among the members, the leadership of the commission is headed by the Chairman, who is a senator, and a Co-chairman, from the Lower House. Technical Advisory Council (TAC) [view list] The Technical Advisory Council (TAC) is a consultative committee within the COMSTE that supervise the panels and review their reports. The members of the TAC also serve as Senior Advisers to the members of the Commission. Panels [view list] The COMSTE is divided into six (6) areas of scope which are called "Panels" wherein each panel has at least five members. The panel members are specialists in their respective field of expertise, they aid in the legislative work of the commission members from Congress.
